Construct and pilot a questionnaire.
How will the assessment take place?
o You work for a research company that has been hired by Coalition Government to seek the views of the public.
o The party want to find out about the public’s opinions on the public services, to inform them of how to shape their policies.
o You must decide what information you wish to gain from the research (outcome) and then create appropriate questions.
o You need to consider your sampling frame and the lay out of the questionnaire.
o Once complete, you will then ask a sample of people the questionnaire.
o You should consider using a range of question styles, including:
• open and closed
• classification
• factual
• opinion
• knowledge
• motivational
• fixed choice
• ranking
• scaled
• leading
• presuming
